Where does o­ne begin to describe something so special? This villa combines the beauty and comfort of an authentic Bali bungalow with the freshness of the sea and the white sand of 3rd Beach Clifton - literally o­n your doorstep. This holiday home has an ambiance that will delight you with its rich timber interior and its exquisite collection of Balinese (imported) furniture and artefacts.

On entering through the first set of beautifully carved wooden doors, o­ne is led down sandstone steps lined with foliage. At the bottom you come across a beautiful patio complete with a heated swimming pool/water feature, made more picturesque by a selection of multi-coloured mosaic tiles - the ocean a mere step away. O­n o­ne side of the pool is an enclosed lounge with bar, which can be opened up as an extension to the pool and patio. A gas Weber braai is also made available to guests for those gorgeous summer evenings enjoyed outdoors.

From the patio you walk into the dining room, complete with Balinese statue and an ornate golden light fixture hanging glowingly above the table. O­n the long, front balcony of the bungalow are comfortable woven chairs and matching foot rests enabling you to view the activity o­n this popular beach in comfort.

Next to the dining room in the centre of the bungalow, is a strikingly beautiful lounge, embracing the rich colours and the splendour of Bali. In this room, centre stage, is an incredible fireplace. Next to it, a touch of the modern - a hidden TV set and Bose music centre.

Off the lounge is a romantic main-en-suite bedroom, complete with a carved four-poster bed and another view of the beach, the rocks and the sea. The main bathroom has a bath, double basin, toilet and bidet, and in addition an external cylindrical glass shower which looks out over the beach and ocean.

Adjacent to the dining room is a well-equipped Gaggenau kitchen, furnished in warm red tones. It is a model for a luxurious yacht.

A wooden staircase descends from the top level into a spacious lower floor which is a large TV lounge. The television and video unit is stored in an intricately decorated Balinese cabinet - and another Bose music centre. There is a small writing desk with fax machine.

Three almost identical double bedrooms are o­n this lower level - all with wide windows looking straight o­nto the beach. o­ne of these bedrooms is en-suite and the other two share a bathroom. At this level there is a fully fitted laundry, hidden in the back.

The fifth bedroom is situated off the pool area. This separate and very private room has a skylight and a small en-suite bathroom with shower and TV.

A 40sq cm digital safe has also recently been installed for the safety of all your more precious items.

This Balinese bungalow offers a degree of luxury and comfort which is rare. The timber interior and bright colours of Bali offer a stimulating holiday long to remember.
