Learn To Surf
Cape Town is a popular surfing location for both experienced and novice surfers. The many beaches surrounding Cape Town offer both small and big waves, making it a perfect surfing destination.
Atlantic Seaboard Surfing
The Atlantic Seaboard offers some of the best waves for big wave surfers in Cape Town. Various surf spots in the area are well known to local surfers. These spots include the Hoek in Noordhoek, Longbeach in Kommetjie and Llandudno beach, between Hout Bay and Camps Bay.
False Bay Surfing
False Bay has some of the best surfing spots for people of any age wanting to learn to surf. False Bay has relatively safe waters, the safest of all beaches to learn to surf is surfers’ corner in the southern suburbs (Muizenberg beach). This is the original Cape Town surf spot! Gentle waves of 2ft – 3ft makes it the perfect place to catch your first wave. The best place to find a decent wave for a more experienced surfer/body boarder is in the Kalk Bay area.
